
Caprese Salad with Balsamic Flavour Pearls
A classic Caprese Salad with Balsamic Flavour Pearls. Ripe and flavourful Tomatoes, fresh Basil and Mozzarella, drizzled with excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a liberal smattering of Balsamic Flavour Pearls. A simple Salad that lets the wonderful produce shine. You will definitely make this Salad again and again.
What you’ll need
- Tomatoes – select a combination of the ripest that you can find (served at room temperature is tastiest)
- Mozzarella (I just bought a 200g tub in liquid from the supermarket)
- Basil – fresh leaves
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper
- Balsamic Flavour Pearls
To do
Select a platter. Cut your Tomatoes into halves and slices depending on the Tomato – the larger Tomatoes will be better in thick slices and Cherry and Grape Tomatoes into halves. Cut the Mozzeralla in the same way. Finely slice a few Basil leaves.
Arrange all of your cut produce nicely on the platter adding some whole and torn Basil leaves too.
To serve
To finish the dish drizzle the Extra Virgin Olive Oil liberally on and grind on some Black Pepper and Salt. Lastly add a few good spoonfuls of Balsamic Flavour Pearls and enjoy.
