Roast Carrots with Thyme, Butter and Honey Flavour Pearls
Roast Carrots with Thyme, Butter and Honey Flavour Pearls is a classic side dish if there ever was one! I love to fill the table with help yourself share plates for a more casual meal with friends and family. We added roast Potatoes, a bowl of minted Peas, steamed Broccolini and a Roast Chicken (yes there was gravy too) to complete our meal. There may have been a bottle or two of Wine also 🍷
A couple of bunches of Carrots simply trimmed, washed and roasted in a little Olive Oil with some fresh Thyme and plenty of seasoning then topped with our Honey Flavour Pearls just takes it up a notch or two without too much effort.
What you’ll need
- Carrots – a bunch or two depending on how many people you are feeding
- Thyme – fresh
- Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper
- Butter
- Honey Flavour Pearls
To do
Pop your Oven on to 180c.
Trim and wash your Carrots. You likely won’t need to peel them as they tend to have quite clean tender skin but if you feel like they need a little cleaning up just give them a bit of a scrape with the back of a small knife.
Add them into a roasting tray/dish with a lug of Olive Oil, A few sprigs of Thyme and a generous grinding of Salt and Pepper. Bake until golden and tender, giving a little bit of a turn every now and then. Likely around 25 minutes.
To serve
Simply pile up the hot roasted Carrots onto a serving dish. Top with a generous spoonful of soft Butter. Lastly finish with a few spoons of Honey Flavour Pearls.
