Melon Bites with Ham & Golden Fig Flavour Pearls
These Melon Bites with Ham & Golden Fig Flavour Pearls are just great for a light lunch, entrée or platter of finger food. Fresh and light with no cooking whatsoever. Our Limited Edition Golden Fig Flavour Pearls add a sparkly touch of yum!
Fresh Mozzarella is deliciously creamy with the Serrano Ham and Melon. Rocket leaves add a peppery bite. It’s easy to prepare a tray of these ready in the fridge to serve when guests arrive later in the day/evening.
What you’ll need
- Cantaloupe – 1/2 or whole depending on how many pieces you wish to make
- Mozzarella – 1 ball will cut into around 12 to 16 slices
- Serrano Ham – you’ll use 1/3 to a 1/2 slice per Melon Bite
- Rocket leaves – wash
- Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper
- Golden Fig Flavour Pearls
To do
If you’ve bought a whole Cantaloupe lets cut it in half and carefully scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Next lets remove the skin. If you’re not sure how please take a look at THIS easy to follow tutorial.
Cut the cleaned and de-seeded melon into small wedges. Next cut your Mozzarella into appropriate sized slices/wedges that will sit on the melon.
Next
Simply place a few rocket leaves onto a slice of melon and top with a slice of Mozzarella. Cut a strip (2cm ish) of Serrano Ham and wrap it over the top of the Mozzarella and under to hold it all together.. You can have it all ready to this point in the fridge if you like to be organized early.
To serve
Place your wrapped melon onto serving plates. Drizzle with a little Olive Oil. Sprinkle with Salt & Pepper and just before serving add some Golden Fig Flavour Pearls.
