Delicious roast pork belly is the ultimate partner for our award winning Apple Flavour Pearls….
Crisp salty crackling and succulent juicy meat topped with the fresh burst of apple will make for a memorable meal. Roast Pork Belly & Apple Flavour Pearls is a stunning combination.
We served ours simply with a roast baby onion and some parsnip puree…feel free to get a little creative!
You will need…
- 750 g ish piece of pork belly
- 1 tbsp fennel seeds
- 4 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 50g jar of Apple Flavour Pearls
Place the pork belly in a large dish. Add fennel seeds, garlic, lemon juice and olive oil. Season generously with salt and pepper. Rub the marinade mixture into the pork belly then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.
Pop the pork into a roasting tray…you may want to sprinkle a little sea salt on too. Preheat oven to full blast. You want to give the crackle a hot blast for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the skin starts to bubble and turn golden brown. Reduce the temperature to 155c and bake for around 90 minutes.
Rest pork for 10 minutes before slicing and top each portion with a generous spoonful of Apple Flavour Pearls.
